If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

1. SCOPE OF THESE TERMS

These Terms apply to:

  • Website visitors;
  • Registered customers;
  • Customers using guest checkout;
  • Purchasers of standard products;
  • Purchasers of customized or personalized products; and
  • Anyone communicating with us in connection with an order, product or service.

These Terms must be read together with our:

  • Privacy Policy;
  • Shipping and Delivery Policy;
  • Cancellation Policy;
  • Return, Exchange and Refund Policy;
  • Product Disclaimer;
  • Product Care Policy;
  • Lifetime 50% Exchange Policy;
  • Grievance Redressal Policy; and
  • Any product-specific terms displayed on the relevant product page.

If a product page contains a specific condition that differs from a general provision of these Terms, the product-specific condition will apply to that product, provided it is lawful and was clearly disclosed before purchase.

2. ELIGIBILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order independently.

A person under 18 may browse the website only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Any purchase intended for or initiated by a minor must be placed and accepted by the parent or legal guardian.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are legally competent to enter into the transaction;
  • The information provided by you is accurate and complete;
  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method; and
  • You are purchasing for a lawful purpose.

3. CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS AND GUEST CHECKOUT

Customers may be permitted to place orders through a registered account or guest checkout.

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information;
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • Restricting unauthorized access to your account;
  • Informing us promptly of suspected unauthorized activity; and
  • Ensuring that activity conducted through your account is authorized.

We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized access, misuse, false information or a violation of these Terms.

You may remain responsible for an order placed through your account unless you promptly inform us that the account or transaction was used without authorization.

4. NATURE OF THE PRODUCTS

Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, products sold through the website are artificial, imitation, fashion or gold-plated jewellery.

Such products are not:

  • Solid gold;
  • Investment gold;
  • Precious-metal bullion;
  • Natural diamonds;
  • Certified precious gemstones; or
  • Financial or investment products.

Words such as “gold-plated,” “gold finish,” “diamond look,” “AD stone,” “pearl,” “kundan,” “ruby colour,” “premium,” “royal” or similar descriptions may refer to a product’s colour, finish, style or decorative appearance. They do not indicate precious-metal or gemstone content unless expressly stated in the product specifications.

Customers should read the complete product description, material information, dimensions, care instructions and eligibility labels before placing an order.

5. PRODUCT IMAGES AND DESCRIPTIONS

We make reasonable efforts to display and describe products accurately. However, slight differences may occur because of:

  • Screen and display settings;
  • Photography and studio lighting;
  • Reflections from plated surfaces;
  • Image compression or editing;
  • Manual measurement;
  • Manufacturing tolerances;
  • Handmade or hand-finished components; and
  • Variations between production batches.

A minor difference in colour, texture, polish, stone placement or measurement that does not materially change the product will not ordinarily be considered a defect.

Lifestyle, model, digitally enhanced or artificial-intelligence-generated images may be used for styling or presentation. Customers should rely primarily on the product-only images, specifications and written measurements when evaluating the product.

Nothing in this section limits a remedy for a product that is defective, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description.

6. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to availability.

Adding a product to the shopping cart, wishlist or account does not reserve it. A product may become unavailable before the order is accepted.

If an ordered product is unavailable, we may:

  • Contact you to offer an alternative;
  • Wait for your approval before substituting it;
  • Cancel the affected product or order; or
  • Refund the amount paid for the unavailable product.

You are not required to accept an alternative product.

7. ORDER PLACEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE

The display of a product on the website is an invitation to place an order and does not by itself constitute acceptance of your purchase.

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product subject to these Terms.

An automated order confirmation only acknowledges receipt of the order. We may verify the order, payment, stock, address and other relevant information before accepting it.

An order is considered accepted when we communicate acceptance, begin processing a customized product, or dispatch the product, whichever occurs first.

We may reject or cancel an order before dispatch for a legitimate reason, including:

  • Product unavailability;
  • Incorrect product or pricing information;
  • Failed or unverified payment;
  • Incomplete or incorrect delivery details;
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized activity;
  • Unserviceable delivery location;
  • Unusually high or commercially unreasonable quantity;
  • Website or technical error; or
  • A legal or regulatory restriction.

If we cancel a prepaid order, the eligible amount received will be refunded to the original payment method.

8. PRICES, TAXES AND INVOICES

Product prices are displayed in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise.

The price and tax treatment shown at checkout and on the legal invoice will apply to the accepted order, subject to correction of an obvious technical or pricing error.

Prices may change without prior notice. A price change will not ordinarily affect an order already accepted, except where:

  • The displayed price resulted from an obvious technical error;
  • The customer agrees to a correction; or
  • A correction is required by law.

A legal invoice will be issued for completed purchases as applicable. Customers should preserve the invoice or a readable photograph or digital copy, particularly for guarantee and Lifetime 50% Exchange claims.

9. PAYMENT METHODS

Available payment methods may include:

  • Credit card;
  • Debit card;
  • UPI;
  • Net banking;
  • Wallet or another method offered by the payment provider; and
  • Cash on Delivery where available.

Online payments may be processed through Razorpay or another payment service provider displayed at checkout.

Bombay Jewellery does not intend to directly collect or store complete card numbers, CVVs, card PINs, UPI PINs, banking passwords or OTPs.

Customers must never share an OTP, UPI PIN, ATM PIN, card PIN, CVV or online-banking password with us through telephone, email, WhatsApp or any other channel.

A payment may be declined or delayed by the payment provider, bank, card network or UPI service. An order is not treated as successfully paid until payment confirmation is received.

10. PAYMENT FAILURE OR DUPLICATE PAYMENT

If an amount is debited but the order is not confirmed, the customer should contact the relevant bank or payment provider and inform us using the contact details in these Terms.

For assistance, the customer should provide:

  • Name;
  • Phone number or email;
  • Order number, if generated;
  • Transaction reference;
  • Date and amount of payment; and
  • Screenshot or proof of debit.

We will verify the transaction using the information available to us.

If a duplicate payment is verified, the excess amount will be refunded through the appropriate payment channel. The time required for the amount to appear may depend on the payment provider or customer’s bank.

11. CASH ON DELIVERY

Cash on Delivery may be offered for eligible orders and serviceable postal codes.

A COD fee, where applicable, will be disclosed before the customer confirms the order.

We may contact a customer by telephone or WhatsApp to verify a COD order. Failure to respond to reasonable verification attempts may delay or cancel the order.

We may restrict COD where:

  • The address is incomplete or unserviceable;
  • Previous COD orders were repeatedly refused;
  • Previous shipments were undelivered because of customer-related reasons;
  • Fraud or misuse is suspected; or
  • The order does not satisfy applicable COD limits.

Customers should keep the complete payable amount available at delivery where the courier does not support another payment method.

12. SHIPPING WITHIN INDIA

We currently deliver only within India.

Standard shipping is free for eligible India-wide orders unless a separate delivery or handling charge is clearly disclosed before checkout.

Free shipping does not automatically include:

  • COD fees;
  • Re-delivery charges;
  • Return-shipping charges;
  • Reverse-pickup charges for customer-selected size issues;
  • Charges resulting from refusal or repeated non-delivery; or
  • Transportation charges under the Lifetime 50% Exchange Programme.

Orders are generally expected to be delivered within 2–7 business days after dispatch, depending on serviceability, courier operations, destination and external circumstances.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

13. DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers must provide:

  • Complete recipient name;
  • Correct mobile number;
  • Complete delivery address;
  • Landmark where required;
  • Correct postal code; and
  • Any information reasonably necessary for delivery.

The customer or an authorized recipient should be available to receive the shipment.

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer. We will, however, make reasonable efforts to assist where correction is possible.

Delivery may be made through DTDC or another courier or logistics provider.

Courier tracking marked “delivered” will ordinarily be treated as evidence of delivery unless the customer promptly reports a credible non-delivery issue.

14. DELIVERY DELAYS

Delivery may be delayed because of:

  • Weather;
  • Natural disaster;
  • Public disturbance;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Courier disruption;
  • Transport interruption;
  • Remote-location serviceability;
  • Strikes;
  • Festivals or peak demand;
  • Incorrect address;
  • Recipient unavailability; or
  • Another event beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist with delayed shipments but cannot guarantee the performance of an independent courier in circumstances outside our control.

15. CANCELLATION BEFORE DISPATCH

A customer may request cancellation before the order is dispatched.

Cancellation requests may be sent to:

Email: care@bombayjewelleryhp.com
Phone/WhatsApp: +91 78278 00726

A cancellation request is not effective until confirmed by us.

If an eligible prepaid order is cancelled before dispatch, the amount received will be refunded to the original payment method without deducting a payment-gateway charge.

An order cannot be cancelled after dispatch. After dispatch, any eligible claim will be handled under the Return, Exchange and Refund Policy.

16. CUSTOMIZED OR PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS

Customized or personalized jewellery includes products made, altered, engraved, resized, assembled or sourced according to a customer’s particular instructions.

A customized order cannot ordinarily be cancelled after customization, production, engraving, alteration or special procurement has begun.

Customized or personalized products are non-returnable and non-exchangeable except where the product is:

  • Damaged on delivery;
  • Defective;
  • Incorrectly supplied; or
  • Materially different from the confirmed customization instructions.

The customer is responsible for checking the spelling, size, colour, design, initials, measurements and other customization details before approving the order.

17. REFUSED AND UNDELIVERED ORDERS

If an order is refused or cannot be delivered because of a customer-related reason, including an incorrect address, repeated recipient unavailability or refusal to accept a confirmed COD order, the shipment may be returned to us.

Before the order is resent, the customer may be required to pay the applicable:

  • Original shipping cost incurred by us;
  • Return-to-origin charge;
  • Re-delivery charge; and
  • COD-related charge.

These charges will be communicated before re-dispatch.

Repeated refusal or misuse of COD may result in COD being disabled for future orders.

18. RETURNS

Eligible return requests must be submitted within 48 hours after delivery.

A return may be considered only where the product is:

  • Damaged on delivery;
  • Defective;
  • Incorrectly supplied;
  • Missing from the parcel;
  • Materially different from its listing; or
  • Affected by an eligible size issue.

Returns are not accepted merely because the customer:

  • Changed their mind;
  • No longer wants the product;
  • Does not like the product after delivery; or
  • Expected a different appearance despite the product being materially consistent with its listing.

A return remains subject to evidence, eligibility verification and product inspection.

19. NON-RETURNABLE PRODUCTS

The following are generally non-returnable:

  • Customized or personalized products;
  • Earrings and other hygiene-sensitive products;
  • Used or worn products;
  • Products with removed, broken, altered or reattached tags;
  • Products damaged through misuse or improper care;
  • Products altered or repaired by the customer;
  • Sale products;
  • Discounted products;
  • Clearance products; and
  • Products expressly marked non-returnable.

A non-returnable product may still qualify for an appropriate remedy if it was damaged on delivery, defective, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, subject to the applicable reporting period and law.

20. SIZE-RELATED CLAIMS

Customers are responsible for checking measurements and selecting the correct size before placing an order.

Where the customer selected the wrong size, a return or size exchange may be considered only if:

  • The product is eligible;
  • The request is made within 48 hours of delivery;
  • The product is unused and unworn;
  • The original tag remains attached;
  • The original packaging and invoice are preserved; and
  • The requested replacement size is available.

The customer will bear the applicable reverse-pickup, return-shipping and re-delivery charges for an incorrectly selected size.

If we supplied a size different from the confirmed order, we will bear reasonable return and replacement shipping costs.

21. CLAIM EVIDENCE AND UNBOXING VIDEO

Customers should record a clear, continuous parcel-opening video beginning before the outer package is opened.

The video should show:

  • The sealed parcel;
  • Shipping label;
  • Complete opening process;
  • All contents received; and
  • The reported damage, incorrect item or missing item.

The customer should also preserve the product, invoice, tags, outer packaging, product packaging and shipping label until the claim is resolved.

An unboxing video is the preferred primary evidence for damaged, missing or incorrect-product claims. However, a claim will be assessed on its facts, available credible evidence and any mandatory consumer rights.

22. REFUNDS

A refund will be processed only after the relevant return, cancellation or claim is approved.

For an approved returned product, the refund will generally be initiated within 5–7 business days after the product passes inspection.

Prepaid-order refunds will be issued only to the original payment method.

For an approved COD refund, where no original electronic payment method exists, the refund may be made to a verified UPI ID or bank account belonging to the customer or lawful purchaser.

The customer must provide accurate refund details. We are not responsible for a failed or misdirected transfer caused by incorrect details supplied by the customer.

After a refund is initiated, additional processing time may be required by Razorpay, a bank, UPI provider or another financial institution.

23. SEVEN-DAY GUARANTEE

A seven-day guarantee applies only to a product whose product page or legal invoice expressly states that it is “Guaranteed.”

The guarantee period begins on the date of delivery.

Subject to inspection, the guarantee may cover:

  • Colour or plating defects arising within the guarantee period;
  • Manufacturing defects;
  • Stone-setting defects; and
  • Breakage directly caused by a manufacturing defect.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Accidental or customer-caused breakage;
  • Scratches, bending, pulling or impact;
  • Exposure to water, sweat, perfume, cosmetics or chemicals;
  • Improper storage;
  • Unauthorized repair or alteration;
  • Damage caused by failure to follow care instructions; or
  • Loss of stones or components caused by use, impact or mishandling.

An approved guarantee remedy may include repair, replacement, exchange, refund or another appropriate solution, depending on the verified issue and product availability.

24. LIFETIME 50% EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The Lifetime 50% Exchange Programme applies only to products expressly marked as eligible on the product page or legal invoice.

The programme is a commercial exchange benefit and is not a cash buyback, investment scheme, product warranty or promise of appreciation in value.

Subject to the detailed Lifetime 50% Exchange Policy:

  • The original invoice or a readable photograph or digital copy is compulsory;
  • The original product must be physically returned for inspection;
  • The customer must purchase a new product from the same product category;
  • The exchange value will equal 50% of the original taxable product value, calculated after excluding the GST component shown on the original invoice;
  • Shipping, COD and other service charges are excluded from the exchange value;
  • No cash refund will be provided;
  • No unused balance will be paid in cash;
  • The customer must pay any difference between the exchange value and the price of the new product;
  • The customer will bear transportation and delivery charges;
  • Product authenticity, identity and condition must be verified; and
  • The benefit may be used only in accordance with the published programme rules.

Missing principal parts, substitution, tampering, deliberate damage or an inability to verify the product may reduce or cancel eligibility.

“Lifetime” means for as long as Bombay Jewellery and Cosmetics continues to operate the programme, subject to its published terms and applicable law.

25. PRODUCT CARE AND SKIN SENSITIVITY

The durability of artificial and plated jewellery depends on frequency of use, skin chemistry, humidity, sweat, cosmetics, perfume, chemicals, friction and storage.

Customers should:

  • Keep jewellery away from water and moisture;
  • Remove it before bathing, swimming or exercising;
  • Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, lotion and sanitizer;
  • Wipe it gently with a clean, dry cloth;
  • Store each product separately in a dry pouch or box; and
  • Avoid pulling, bending, dropping or exposing it to chemicals.

Individual skin sensitivity varies. We do not represent that every product is hypoallergenic unless expressly stated on the product page.

Customers with a known metal allergy or sensitive skin should review the available material information before use. Use should be discontinued if irritation occurs.

26. REVIEWS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

Customers may voluntarily submit reviews, photographs or videos.

We will publish identifiable customer reviews, photographs or videos for promotional or public-facing purposes only after obtaining appropriate permission.

We may process submitted photographs and videos without public publication where reasonably necessary to:

  • Verify a return or guarantee claim;
  • Investigate a damaged or missing-product complaint;
  • Prevent fraud;
  • Respond to customer support; or
  • Resolve a dispute.

Reviews must not contain unlawful, abusive, defamatory, misleading or infringing content.

27. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Promotional WhatsApp messages, SMS and emails will be sent only where the customer has opted in or otherwise lawfully consented.

Customers may withdraw promotional consent using an available unsubscribe method or by contacting:

care@bombayjewelleryhp.com

Withdrawing promotional consent will not prevent necessary transactional communications concerning an order, payment, delivery, return, refund, guarantee or grievance.

28. PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law.

The website may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential website operation;
  • Shopping-cart and checkout functions;
  • Account security;
  • Analytics;
  • Performance measurement; and
  • Advertising, subject to applicable consent requirements.

The website may use WordPress, Razorpay, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, courier services and communication service providers. These providers may process information necessary to perform their respective services under their own terms and privacy practices.

29. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless stated otherwise, the website and its original content—including the Bombay Jewellery name, logo, design, text, graphics, product presentation, photographs and layout—are owned by or lawfully licensed to Bombay Jewellery and Cosmetics.

No person may, without permission:

  • Copy or reproduce substantial website content;
  • Use our logo or brand identity;
  • Republish product photographs;
  • Create misleading listings using our content;
  • Scrape the website for unlawful commercial use; or
  • Represent an affiliation with Bombay Jewellery that does not exist.

This section does not restrict any use permitted by applicable law.

30. PROHIBITED USE

The website must not be used to:

  • Commit fraud or impersonation;
  • Submit false or misleading information;
  • Make an unauthorized payment;
  • Upload malicious code;
  • Interfere with website security or operation;
  • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • Submit fabricated claim evidence;
  • Harass staff or other persons;
  • Conduct unlawful resale or deceptive activity; or
  • Violate applicable law.

We may restrict access, suspend an account, cancel an unfulfilled order or report suspected unlawful activity where reasonably necessary.

31. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The website may contain links to or integrations with independent services, including payment providers, courier services, analytics platforms and social-media websites.

We are not responsible for the independent content, availability or privacy practices of a third-party service. However, this does not remove any responsibility imposed on us by applicable law concerning the selection or use of service providers.

Customers should review the relevant third party’s terms and privacy notice where appropriate.

32. FRAUD PREVENTION

We may verify an order, payment, address, account or claim where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or unauthorized activity.

We may reject or investigate a claim where there is evidence of:

  • Product substitution;
  • Tampering;
  • Fabricated or edited evidence;
  • Intentional damage;
  • Repeated false claims;
  • Unauthorized payment; or
  • Misuse of COD, refund, guarantee or exchange benefits.

A genuine complaint will not be rejected merely because it contains criticism or dissatisfaction.

33. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, Bombay Jewellery and Cosmetics will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time of the transaction.

We are not responsible for loss caused solely by:

  • Incorrect information supplied by the customer;
  • Misuse or improper care of a product;
  • Unauthorized access resulting from the customer’s failure to protect account credentials;
  • Customer-provided customization errors that were approved before production; or
  • An event beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or a mandatory consumer remedy.

34. CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

A customer may be entitled to an appropriate remedy where a product is defective, falsely described, materially different from its listing or incorrectly supplied.

Where these Terms conflict with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.

  • Description of the issue;
  • Relevant dates; and
  • Supporting documents, photographs or videos.

We will endeavour to acknowledge and resolve grievances within the periods required by applicable law.

36. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to any Consumer Commission, court, regulator or authority having mandatory jurisdiction, disputes will be subject to the competent courts at Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh.

Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from approaching a Consumer Commission or another authority having jurisdiction under applicable consumer-protection law.

37. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, regulatory, operational, payment, delivery or product changes.

The revised Terms will be published on the website with an updated revision date.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not unfairly remove rights already accrued in relation to an accepted order.

38. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

39. NO WAIVER

A delay or failure by us to enforce a provision does not permanently waive our right to enforce that provision or another right later.
